Claudio Andrade: One Artist's Journey

Veteran photojournalist Iris Schneider captured a year in the life of one Ryman Arts student, Claudio Andrade. He traveled all the way from San Bernardino each week to participate in Ryman Arts. Claudio has graduated from Ryman Arts, continues to draw, and is completing his independent studies to graduate from high school this month. This short slide show documents Schneider’s observations of one artist’s journey.

About the Photographer:
Iris Schneider is a freelance photographer and writer who has traveled the world on assignment for The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Rolling Stone, and The Los Angeles Times. Iris worked at the LA Times for 27 years, photographing, writing, and photo editing feature sections. We are honored that Ryman Arts is featured as a subject of Ms. Schneider’s work.
